CNC Operator
The CNC Operator is primarily responsible for cutting parts using CNC routers and the Waterjet per the direction of the Operations Manager and the Digital Fabrication Manager. The CNC Operator is responsible for running the machines, handling material, executing programs, and preparing parts for assembly by the Carpentry team. The CNC Operator is also responsible for performing daily, periodic, and yearly maintenance on the Waterjet and CNC. The CNC Operator reports directly to the Digital Fabrication Manager.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation: $28 per hour (seeking full-time and/or part-time)
Conditions: 40 hours of work expected per week; sometimes more, sometimes less.
Paid Time Off (full-time only): 5 days to be used at the Employee’s discretion; approval required.
Benefits (full-time only): Healthcare and 401k after 90 days
Job Responsibilities
Operates machines daily including: setting the machine’s tools according to specific job order; downloading control programs; loading and unloading materials required; monitoring machines during operation for quality control
Organizes finished/cut parts for carpenters to assemble later
Provides final finish and cleanup of fabricated parts (i.e. cleaning up the edges)
Provides daily progress reports, including project deadline updates, to the Digital Fabrication Manager
